The school in Barford St Martin, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2004, amalgamated with Wilton Primary School on 1st January 2007. The amalgamation followed a year of consultation with parents, teachers, governors and residents of Wilton and Barford culminating in endorsement by Wiltshire County Council on 11th December 2006. The name of the new school is Wilton and Barford Church of England (VC) Primary School.
