Agreed at the Parish Council meeting on 28 April 2004 and revision to para 5 agreed at the Parish Council meeting on 28 July 2004

  1. Planning applications (including Notices of Intention for tree work) will be considered at a meeting held in public. They will normally be in the Garden Room of the School House.

  2. The meeting will be between 7 and 14 days from the date of the planning notice.

  3. A copy of the covering letter from SDC and the time and date of the meeting will be placed on the main notice board.

  4. All Parish Councillors will be notified and can attend. The Parish Clerk will be notified but need not attend.

  5. 3 Parish Councillors must be present to provide a quorum. It is desirable that 2 of the 4 Planning sub-committee members also be present.

  6. Plans will not be circulated in advance unless there is a degree of complication.

  7. Contentious plans will be put to the full Parish Council, either at its planned meeting if this fits with the 14 day deadline, or, if not, at a specially convened meeting.

  8. The Chairman will e-mail the Parish Council views to SDC immediately following the meeting under 1 or 7 above.

  9. The Chairman will report the outcome of meetings under 1 above at the next Parish Council meeting.
