KEEPING
YOU POSTED 20
PATH TO
TINKERBELL
The newly tarmaced area alongside the wall of the
Black and White Shop will in due course be
infilled with coloured tarmac and a white line
will painted to distinguish the pathway from the
road.
BUDGET
Details of next years budget are posted on the
notice boards and web site.
POTHOLES
The potholes in Grovely Rd were filled in within
10 days of reporting through the Clarence
helpline (0800 232323). Anyone can do this. They
deal with the state of the roads and drains and
their success rate is measured.
BURCOMBE LANE/A30 JUNCTION
I am in discussion with the Joint Transportation
Team as to whether any action could be taken to
give better visibility to drivers coming out of
Burcombe Lane on to the A30.
WATER AT JUNCTION OF FACTORY LANE/DUCK
LANE
I have discussed this with WCC Highways. They
have difficulty justifying expenditure rectifying
the situation when the fault lies with a private
contractor; in this case the developers of the 3
cottages in Factory Lane. They have agreed to
approach the developers and will report back.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
I have a copy of the Wiltshire and Swindon
Community Transport Directory and the Guide to
Public Transport in Wiltshire and a few copies of
the Market Day and Shoppers Services West of
Salisbury. Anyone wishing to see these should
contact me.
YOUTH CLUB AT COUNTRYSIDE UNIT OF ALABARE
TRUST IN DAIRY RD
A youth club for 13 to 18 year olds was started
before Christmas and will be restarting soon.
Contact Julie at the Unit or give me a ring and I
will find out more.
